About
I’m an avid photographer with a love for landscape and wildlife photography.
Also as a CEO (Chief Experience Officer), aka Tour Guide, for G Adventures and National Geographic Journeys, I get to regular visit some of the most stunning and spectacular destinations in both Australia and New Zealand.
G Adventures’ (G) vision for travelling responsibly has meant giving back as much — if not more — than what you take away. Yes, travel should be incredibly fun, but G also believe travel needs to be a force for good, that is, for you, for local communities around the world, and for the world itself — we call it “community tourism”. It means G's tours are built on meaningful relationships with local communities and directly benefit the people and places we visit. Each trip and itinerary has been developed with this in mind.
In addition, G has a social non-for-profit enterprise called Planeterra Foundation, which invests in community projects, to help the people and communities we visit every day.
As a CEO, I also help contribute to Planeterra through a FUNdraising program called "Raise The World", which allows me to give back through donations. By donating to Planeterra, we’re helping build local economies, protect cultural heritage, and create sustainable livelihoods, all while creating a ripple effect that lasts long after your trip ends. As an added personal bonus, my FUNdraising contributes to getting me one step closer to winning a ticket to GX: a global travel event that’s the ultimate celebration of community tourism.
So to help me contribute to "Raise The World" and help get me a step closer to winning a ticket to GX, 10% from every image sale will also be donated to Planeterra. Otherwise you can also donate directly by selecting Menu on my website and clicking the link to "Steve's Raise The World FUNdraising".
Also, when it comes to my touring and personal travel experiences, I love to share more than just my photography. So if you like my images but would like to know more about my adventures, the places visited, and the wildlife featured in my images, you can follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook.
